T This tripod features a convertible mounting stud which can change to either 1/4th or 3/8th and there is a 1/4th accessory mounting socket on the bottom of the fixed apex/platform . The 6061 aluminum parts are CNC machined and hard anodized, making the surface tough against scratching and scuffing. The twist leg lock system is quickly deployed with a simple quarter turn. With the tripod's three variable leg angles, it allows you to splay the legs completely out, so the support can drop to a very low minimum height. Made up of two lightweight yet durable 10-layer carbon fiber, the DC-222C adds from 7.8 to 12.5" in height and is suitable for use with supports that have a load capacity of up to 17.6 lb.
